Terms of use
These terms explain what you can expect from BetterBuys and what we ask of you when you use the site. We have written them in plain English wherever we can.

The short version
- BetterBuys is an independent research and discovery resource. We do not sell or resell the products we cover.
- Listings, scores, and rankings are editorial opinions based on the information available to us. Verify details with the vendor before you buy.
- Sponsored placements are always labeled and never change organic ranking order.
- Use the site normally. Do not scrape it at scale, and be truthful in anything you submit to us.

Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using betterbuys.com (the "Site"), you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.
If you use the Site on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
What BetterBuys is, and what it is not
BetterBuys is an independent business technology research and discovery resource. We have operated since 1996, and today we focus on helping business buyers find, understand, and compare AI software and services.
We are not a reseller, distributor, broker, or agent for any vendor listed on the Site. We do not sell, license, or fulfill any of the products we cover. Any purchase you make happens directly between you and the vendor, under the vendor's own terms.
Listings, rankings, scores, and editorial content on the Site are our editorial opinions, based on the information available to us at the time of publication. They are provided for general informational purposes. They are not professional, legal, financial, or procurement advice, and inclusion on the Site is not a guarantee that a product will fit your needs.
Rankings and sponsored placements
Products on BetterBuys are ranked by a published scoring formula. The current weights are:
35% category fit, 20% use-case fit, 15% buyer and industry fit, 10% integration fit, 10% evidence quality, 5% pricing transparency, 5% freshness.
Scoring involves editorial judgment. Two reasonable evaluators could weigh the same evidence differently, so treat rankings as a starting point for your own evaluation, not a verdict.
Some placements on the Site are paid. Sponsored placements always carry a visible label, and they never affect organic ranking order. Vendors cannot pay to improve a score or move up a ranked list.
Where the Site describes commercial listing options for vendors, those descriptions are informational only and do not constitute an offer. Listing packages are subject to a separate written agreement between BetterBuys and the vendor.
Accuracy of information
Software products change quickly. Pricing, features, integrations, and availability can all change after we publish, and vendors do not always announce changes.
Our content production is AI-assisted with human editorial review, and every product page shows a last-verified date so you can judge how current the information is. Even so, information on the Site may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate at any given time.
Always verify pricing, features, security claims, and contract terms directly with the vendor before making a purchasing decision.
If you spot an error, please tell us at contact@betterbuys.com. Vendors can also claim their listing to request corrections.
Acceptable use
You are welcome to browse the Site, share links to it, and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source page.
You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download Site content at scale, including for use in training datasets, without our prior written permission. Standard search engine indexing that respects our robots.txt is fine.
- Misrepresent your identity, employer, or affiliation in any submission, listing claim, or form on the Site.
- Attempt to manipulate rankings or scores, including through fabricated evidence or coordinated submissions.
- Interfere with the operation of the Site, including probing, overloading, or attempting to circumvent access controls.
- Frame the Site or republish substantial portions of its content without permission.
We may restrict or block access for activity that violates these terms.
Vendor submissions and listings
Vendors can submit products for listing, claim an existing listing, and request corrections through our For AI Companies page. When you submit information to us, the following applies:
- Everything you submit must be accurate, current, and not misleading, and you must be authorized to act on behalf of the vendor you represent.
- You grant BetterBuys a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit, reproduce, and display the submitted information in our listings and editorial content.
- We may edit submissions for clarity, style, and accuracy, and we may decline or remove any listing at our editorial discretion. Submitting a product does not guarantee inclusion.
- Submitting information, claiming a listing, or purchasing a sponsored placement never affects organic ranking order.
If a listing about your product contains an error, claiming the listing at betterbuys.com/for-ai-companies/#claim is the fastest way to get it corrected.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, editorial reviews, scoring methodology descriptions, page designs, and the BetterBuys name and logo, are owned by BetterBuys or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Vendor names, logos, and trademarks that appear on the Site belong to their respective owners. We use them for identification purposes only. Their appearance does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship of, or endorsement by those owners, unless explicitly stated.
You may quote brief excerpts of our content with attribution and a link to the source page. Any other reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of Site content requires our prior written permission.
Third-party links and websites
The Site links to vendor websites and other third-party resources for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or the terms under which they sell their products.
A link from BetterBuys is not an endorsement. Your dealings with any vendor, including purchases, trials, and data sharing, are solely between you and that vendor and are governed by the vendor's own terms and policies.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, for informational purposes only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterBuys disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BetterBuys and its owners, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Site, your reliance on its content, or any purchasing decision you make based on information found here.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will post a notice on this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in full effect.
