Bottom Line: Scalable applicant tracking system that automates many recruiting and hiring tasks.

Product Overview

Vultus sells two cloud-based solutions: Recruit (an applicant tracking system) and Connect (a workforce management system). For the purpose of our review, we will focus on Recruit.

Vultus Recruit is a cloud-based applicant tracking system that helps companies recruit and manage job candidates. It provides flexibility by allowing companies to scale the number of users up or down based on their needs.

Recruit is mainly intended for staffing and recruiting firms, but it can also be used by companies with an in-house recruiting team. It’s available for all company sizes and for all industries.

One benefit of Recruit is a more simple workflow. It can be integrated with other systems, such as email and calendar. And because of the resume parsing feature, there’s less of a need for manual resume entry. Recruiters can also find information on candidates quickly with Recruit’s advanced search query.

Another benefit is that Recruit improves collaboration between recruiters/HR, hiring managers and external clients/job candidates. Recruiters and hiring managers can communicate information about a job candidate via the single dashboard.

More details on Recruit are listed in our Features section below.

Features

Recruit includes many features such as:

  • Built-in CRM (users can manage their clients and other contacts, as well as track activity on a specific client)
  • Resume parsing (also supports uploading resumes in bulk)
  • Ability to create and track job openings
  • Ability to post job openings on career and social networking sites (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Hotlists (lists of the most important candidates that have specific qualifications or skills a company is looking for)
  • Pipeline (where candidates are listed for interview/job placement consideration)
  • Auto-searching for candidates based on specific keywords (such as “qualifications” or “experience”)
  • Interview scheduling
  • Analytics and reporting (Users can analyze their recruiting methods straight from the dashboard. There are also a variety of visualization tools, such as bar, line and pie charts. Like Jobvite, users can also create reports with either a standard or customized template.)
  • Support features (such as calendar management, ability to customize emails with client branding, calculator, ability to back up data, and sending and receiving job/candidate information to vendors)

Also, Recruit is now integrated with Microsoft Outlook and now has a mobile app. Both are new features that have been implemented recently.

Implementation/Integration

As Recruit is a cloud-based solution, the implementation period is shorter than traditional on-premise solutions.

Prospective users first work with a Vultus sales rep. The solution can be accessed once requirements are met and a subscription is set up.

Vultus does customize the solution based on the needs of each business. Companies can opt to have their data migrated from another system for a fee.

Customer Service & Support

Users can contact tech support via email, phone or Vultus’ support page. Vultus also provides a Know-How Center for FAQs.

Pricing

There are three monthly subscription plans that are based on per user per month. They include all Recruit features as well as unlimited storage as well as free implementation/configuration/training. They are:

  • One to five users ($18.99/user/month)
  • Six to 30 users ($14.99/user/month)
  • Over 30 users ($9.99/user/month)

Shortcomings
