Product Overview

The B210 Printer ($149.99), along with its multifunction sibling the B205 and B215, joins Xerox’s lineup of black-and-white devices aimed at small offices. It prints at up to 31 ppm and has a first-print-out time of 8.5 seconds and a monthly duty cycle of up to 30,000 pages.

The B210 comes with a 600 MHz processor, 256 MB of memory and standard PCL and PostScript. USB, Ethernet, and wireless connectivity is supported. Also, offices that don’t rely on wireless routers can print via the Wi-Fi Direct feature.

Mobile printing is also supported via Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Mopria and Xerox Print Service Plug-in for Android.

More details is in our Features section below.

The B210 Printer is an affordable and compact device for small offices or teams that want faster printing but don’t require advanced features.

Features

The paper capacity consists of a 250-sheet tray and a single-sheet bypass. Both trays support up to legal-sized (8.5″ x 14″) paper. The output capacity is 120 sheets. While the monthly duty cycle is 30,000 pages, Xerox recommends that users print a maximum of 4,000 pages each month. Two-sided printing is standard.

Additional printing features include bi-directional real-time status, booklet creation, brightness/contrast adjustment, collation, poster printing, the ability to skip blank pages, toner save and watermark.

Security features include automatic self-signed certificate creation, IP filtering disabling USB port and software verification, to name a few.

The B210 printer is shipped with a starter 1,000-page toner cartridge. Xerox offers a high-capacity (3,000-page) toner cartridge as well as a 10,000-page drum cartridge. Based on the high-capacity toner cartridge, we calculate the cost per page at 2.9 cents.

Finally, there’s a one-year quick-exchange warranty.
