Product Overview

Ambir Technology’s nScan 915i is a standalone network scanner that doesn’t require a computer for it to work. At $695, it scans at 17ppm in black and grayscale and 4ppm in color. It also supports duplex scanning at speeds of up to 34ipm in black and grayscale modes and 8ipm in color. Its daily duty cycle is approximately 3,000 pages.

The nScan 915i’s operation panel is a 7″ multi-touch screen display. Users can simply make scanning adjustments (such as color mode or scanning format) but pressing a button. There is also a bigger button on the display to touch to begin scanning the document.

In addition to Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, the nScan 915i supports USB.

The nScan 915i is intended for all industries that has scanning needs. However, it’s ideally targeted to the insurance, hospitality, finance, real estate, healthcare and professional services fields. Those industries most likely require scanning documents to clients or customers, such as a real estate agent sending sale agreements to a buyer or seller.

 

Features

The nScan 915i has a 50-sheet automatic document feeder that accepts paper from a minimum of 2″ x 2″ in size to a maximum of 8.5″ x 14″.

The scanner supports a variety of scanning destinations, including to mobile devices, to FTP, to USB drive, to PC/Mac, to network and to email. It can also scan to the cloud, such as Google Drive, Box, Evernote, Dropbox and Sharepoint. Documents can be sent in .jpg or .pdf formats.

The nScan 915i includes the Nuance Power PDF Advanced software for OCR functionalities and editing PDF documents.

Finally, there is a two-year limited warranty. Users can purchase a warranty option to extend it an additional year.
