Product Overview

Companies have equipment and other assets to help them do their jobs. And equipment needs to be maintained in order to prevent failure and breakdowns. However, even with the best maintenance schedule, the equipment may have unplanned maintenance needed.

eRPortal’s CMMS software is designed to help companies keep track of asset maintenance in an easy to use and flexible fashion. Among the software’s benefits, it keeps track of both planned and unplanned maintenance, as well as helps improve productivity.

For exporting work orders, eRPortal can integrate with the company’s existing systems via the XML and Web Services architecture. It can be deployed as either an on-premise or SaaS/Cloud solution. eRPortal’s solution is designed specifically for the industrial, higher education, and municipal industries.

In March 2015, eRPortal has debuted its latest version (Version 4.5) of its software with new features and upgrades, including:

• Expansion of its workplace safety feature to comply with OSHA and other safety compliance
• Utilizing HTML5 technology of the user homepage that features dashboards and grids
• Updated preventative maintenance and work scheduling functionality
• Updated asset condition assessment functionality
• Updated mobile functionality – also mobile app is available in Apple iStore
• Upgraded workflow approval module that allows for setting any rule-based approval routes

In 2016, eRPortal has partnered with Izenda, an embedded business intelligence solutions provider. Izenda is embedded within the eRPortal platform and replaces its older reporting platform. Users can analyze their maintenance data in real time and create dashboards and reports.

Features

The eRPortal software utilizes all of the features we’ve indicated below. For flexibility in machine maintenance, users can choose between either preventative maintenance or predictive (condition-based) maintenance. In other words, equipment maintenance notifications can be automated dependent on the asset’s rate of usage and/or by calendar year. The software uses rules-based logic that automatically creates a work order based on either the timing of the maintenance or the condition of the equipment itself.

eRPortal also offers its mobile workforce module for accessing work orders and other information at any time from a mobile device. Users can add or view work orders, look up information on assets, and perform condition assessment. Mobile functionality is accessible via Windows and iPad/iPhone devices.

Implementation/Integration

Before beginning the implementation process, eRPortal meets with the customer to assess business needs. Their  implementation team assesses both the client’s infrastructure for mapping out the maintenance system as well as user needs for understanding how to use the software.

Other implementation tasks include data migration, utilization of systems and applications interface (i.e. XML, SQL), and training. Prior to training, customers fill out a survey about their asset management procedures and requirements, which eRPortal then uses to develop a customized training program.

Customer Service & Support

eRPortal offers technical support via phone and email Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 6PM. Customers also receive product upgrades at no additional cost. Customers can access the support FAQs and document library.
