High IQ At A Glance

Good: Strong focus on security, offers big data analytics capability, implementation is done within 30 days.
Bad: Intended more for smaller-to-medium-sized businesses, so larger companies may need to look elsewhere.
Bottom Line: High IQ brings a more personalized approach to small and medium-sized companies who want to be involved with big data analytics, but lack the resources or revenue for traditional solutions.

Product Overview

High IQ helps small and medium-sized companies work with big data analytics. To that end, it offers the following services:

Data warehousing – this stores data integrated from all sources. High IQ works with different data sources, such as Clipper, Mascola, AS 400, SQL, MySQL, and Web Scraping.

Cube generation – Data is stored in a cube allowing for granular data access with reduced access time.

Reporting  System / Report Mailer – Reports can be scheduled automatically or sent manually in a variety of formats, including PDF, Excel, or in links.

Budget Extension – This function includes templates that allows for role-level changes to the data that can be reflected in the company’s budgeting.

High IQ provides a variety of features that are indicated below. We also want to mention that it has a focus on security, especially in reports – the software’s security is integrated with Microsoft Windows.

Implementation/Integration

Implementation typically takes less than a month and ROI can appear shortly thereafter, depending on how the data is used and how flexible the company is in the short term.

Customer Service & Support

High IQ provides a free consultation prior to purchasing and implementation. The goal of this is to make sure its software works with the customer’s existing system. High IQ also works on training all users on its software, and even keeps up the relationship with the customer after the software is implemented, in case there are additional needs or additional data sources are added.

Shortcomings

As High IQ BI is targeted more towards small and mid-sized companies, it may not be able to handle the needs of larger companies. Companies looking for a BI vendor should keep in mind that this is a fairly new player to the BI marketplace.

About

High IQ is a new company that aims to make business intelligence and big data more accessible to smaller companies. The software was originally designed for mid-sized companies that wanted more streamlined reports; however, High IQ discovered it could work in other areas, such as budgeting.

In addition to BI, High IQ is in the process of designing software to accommodate the data analysis of sales, and marketing analytics.
